NEW FOR 2012:
Ana Lomba’s Easy Immersion®Curriculum Now Available for Any Size and Budget

2012 is around the corner, and so is your “start-a-language-program-for-kids” resolution.
You find yourself looking at curriculum options (a good place to start) and wondering how to put the puzzle together:
How do young children learn? What types of activities do 2, 4 or 6 year olds like? How many children should I have per class? What if I am a stay-at-home mom and I want to start small in one language? And if I want to start BIG and in several languages instead? What if I am a classroom teacher and I just want to freshen-up my instruction? What if I am homeschooling and I am the Spanish teacher?
If you are in any of these situations, the newly available Ana Lomba’s Easy Immersion® curriculum packets in Spanish, French, and/or Chinese may be the right solution for you. Depending on your situation, you may want to try one of the following options:
1. Learn-to-Do-It-Yourself for Programs that Are Just Exploring and with Minimal Funds to Invest
The best option in this case is to purchase the Spanish for Preschoolers E-Guide and to use this as a resource to create your own curriculum. [Note: While the examples in the Spanish for Preschoolers E-Guide are in Spanish, the general ideas are applicable to all languages.]
In the back of the e-guide there is a detailed 18-page 60-minute lesson plan with many activities to inspire you. This can be used in conjunction with my print materials and online stories. And the E-Guide will help you get started for under $40!
There’s a ton of information in this option, but you should be prepared to invest significant time creating your own lesson plans.
2. Individual Unit Licensing for Programs that Want to Get Started Now – and Are Able to Make Some Initial Investment to Get Out of the Gate Quicker
At this time I offer the license of one thematic unit from each of the age groups (ages 1-3, 3-5, 5-7, or 7-10). You can get started right now with one unit for $400, two thematic units for $700, three for $1,000 or four for $1,250.
This individual unit licensing packet will provide you with full access to a maximum of four of my Ana Lomba’s Easy Immersion® based thematic units, so that you can start teaching using whole language in context right away with minimal investment of time researching and creating your own lesson plans. Please note that the units you choose have to be for different age groups.
This option is likely to save even experienced teachers two to three hundred hours that can be spent in the classroom, marketing, hiring teachers, finding places to teach, etc. It is intended to get the new language program started right away without the worry of having to create a high quality curriculum while juggling other responsibilities.
The Spanish for Preschoolers E-Guide explains thematic units, but you should know that each of my units covers twelve 60-minute daily plans that will typically be used for an enrichment style class. Each unit is approximately 40 to 60 pages.
These individual units are very well suited for teachers/educators that have the time and interest to develop their own curriculum and want to have a ‘model’ unit to create additional lesson plans. For example, the 3 to 5 unit may get you started for the fall session, but then you will need to create additional units afterwards for the winter and spring.
As a bonus, *for a short time only* we are offering the packets with the text and illustrations for the accompanying stories (thousands of dollars of investment!).
3. Single-Language Curriculum for Startups Able to Invest at a Significant Level and on a Large Scale So You Can Focus on Growing Your Business
This single-language includes 24 thematic units across the 4 age groups (1-3, 3-5, 5-7, and 7-10 year olds), a limited geographic exclusive license, accreditation of your program as an official licensee of the Ana Lomba Easy Immersion Curriculum on this website, and one hour of consulting each month. The cost is $6,500 initial investment and 5% of revenues.
This is ideally suited for language programs offering instruction on some scale (60 to 200+ students per session). This frees up your time to focus on marketing, hiring teachers, finding space to teach and overall growing your business. Also, we are there to help with the coaching along the way. The premise is that we succeed as you succeed – a win-win situation.
4. Multiple-Language Curriculum for Startups Able to Invest at a Significant Level and on a Large Scale
This multi-language package includes 24 thematic units for each language across the 4 age groups (1-3, 3-5, 5-7, and 7-10 year olds), a limited geographic exclusive license, accreditation of your program as an official licensee of the Ana Lomba Easy Immersion® Curriculum on this website, and four hours of consulting each month. The cost is $15,000 initial investment and 5% of revenues.
This is ideally suited for language programs located in attractive markets with population density and where parents value global education. The target program will also be looking to start offering instruction on a large scale (200+ students per session starting out or planned within 12-24 months). This frees up your time to focus on marketing, hiring teachers, finding space to teach and overall growing your business. And again we are there to help with the coaching along the way. We believe in win-win situations.
Where to Start
Whatever option you are considering, I would strongly recommend that you start with the Spanish for Preschoolers E-guide. This will provide you with a better understanding of my approach and help you decide if this is what you want.

Announcing Our First Curriculum Licensee:
During the last four years, we have been rolling out the license that we are now opening to the public with our first curriculum licensee: Wonders – Children Learning Language.
Headquartered in Encinitas, California, Wonders – Children Learning Language offers quality Spanish, French & Mandarin immersion play classes for children 1—10. Instructors are native speakers who are specially-trained in Ana Lomba’s unique, fun and developmentally-appropriate curriculum. Wonders brings language alive!
Parents say:
“It takes a very special kind of individual to work with children at such a young age. There are a lot of challenges like getting them excited or motivating them to want to participate, feeling secure in the environment, and nurturing their unique individual needs so they can learn and grow.  Now, trying to do all of that while speaking a foreign language and dealing with preschoolers… that is a tall order, yet my son’s teacher does it effortlessly, with a calm, warm, nurturing demeanor while allowing their creativity and inquisitive minds to explore the endless possibilities of another language.  It is really quite beautiful to watch.  Especially since yesterday my 19 month old daughter and I stood outside the class room watching 5 children sit in earnest hanging on her every word while she told in her animated style with a long blond wig a story.  I was amazed at their concentration, focus and pure interest to every move she made.”
“We are at the beginning of my son’s second session, and just the past week my husband and I have noticed such a transformation. He is singing and talking in Spanish at bath time and during his every day activities.  He talks to our Mexican waiter at our local Sunday Breakfast spot in Spanish and sings him songs too.  He is even trying to teach our 19 month old daughter everything he knows.  Which, I might add she is doing a great job keeping up with him and can converse with our waiter too every Sunday in Spanish.  We cannot wait to send our daughter.”
“Wonders has had an extremely positive effect on our children’s’ desire to learn a new language. We switched from a school which my kids dreaded, to racing to Wonders to see if we could show up before the other students. All the instructors are well qualified and super friendly, which isn’t a surprise because of how much time and effort the owners put into making Wonders a quality school.  My three children’s experience so far is extremely positive.  It is a program that we plan to keep them in for quite some time (hopefully until they’re fluent)!!”
“I am pleased with the fun, play-based foundation of the program, especially as it is after school.  At the end of last session, my son was able to explain the game he was leading for the parents on the final day, so he and I could play it together at home.  He loved it when I played with him!”
